Why is President Donald Trump deliberately screwing up the Postal Service?

@nedkelly USPS is actually pretty fine. Never had a problem. What they are is unable to pivot under market conditions, because their responsibilities are rigidly set. This makes them inefficient and artificially consumer-friendly, unfrofitable by design. But that's also why we have a Federal post office.

Besides, imagine the whinging if [i]Bezos[/i] was responsible for handling the mail-in ballots.

In the US, it’s a quasi governmental agency and it’s truly a stepchild.

Someone commented that Trump appointed the Postmaster General. That’s already wrong.
