Why is President Donald Trump deliberately screwing up the Postal Service?

@SimplyTracie The postal service is actually the most well liked government institution with over a 92 percent approval rating. The fact that it bleeds money is bad though. But if it started putting profits ahead of service I'm sure that it would be so screwed up as to be just as hated as the rest of the government.

I think it needs to be run as a business. End junk mail. End newspapers and magazines. It’s all a losing entity. Raise the cost of a letter going from Hawaii to New York while they’re at it.

@cycleman I’m sure every penny counts but in the end it doesn’t pay its way.
Non-profit organizations pay only a fraction of what a first class stamp costs - that tells me it doesn’t pay its full fare.
