Does disliking the US Government inherently make you Anti-American?

Can't you be both a dissident towards your country's government and a patriot?

No, I'm not talking about merely disliking just a ruling political party. I mean disliking your system of government and what it does/has done at its core.

If you despise the American government, does that necessarily mean you despise the American people?

You can definitely disagree with and dislike the government and love the people.

The right to disagree with the Government is kind of one of the core features of our Constitution, and that's one part I really like.
