Can't you be both a dissident towards your country's government and a patriot?

No, I'm not talking about merely disliking just a ruling political party. I mean disliking your system of government and what it does/has done at its core.

If you despise the American government, does that necessarily mean you despise the American people?

@BlueRain Why? Simply for disagreeing? What if they agree with American ideals, care about the American people, but think that the government has become corrupt, run by traitors and tyrannical?

Isn't more honorable for that citizen to stay and stand up for what they believe in?
