Both parties provoke each other. It’s not just one

@Jeffrey53 ... name a shithole City that’s run by a Republican
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
@BigGuy2 don’t know and don’t care
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@Jeffrey53 ... yep, you keep sleep walking still and when BLM activists come knocking on your door and say “you’re racist because you’re BREATHING” will you care then
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
@BigGuy2 why bring race into to it. No one ever called me a racist. I live in a city where there are lot of demographics
@Jeffrey53 Both sides do it sounds great, but how often have you heard Democrats talking about "owning the conservatives" like Republicans talk about "owning the libs" and making their heads explode.

I'm not condoning "punching Nazis" but you don't hear as much of that from the Dems, and the punch back harder with no regard to the consequences approach is not nearly as prevalent in one side as on the other.

I think there are still some cooler saner heads on both sides, but I think the Dems are still trying to keep the hot heads at bay, while the Republicans can't do that as well with Trump as their leader.

@MistyCee I don’t know. I don’t watch news that often. when I do both parties bicker back an forth. They are elected officials how about them work together instead of against each other. Things will get done faster
@Jeffrey53 They should, but part of the problem is that crossing the aisle to talk with the "enemy" is seen as foolish or even traitorous. And when it gets really bad, it's political suicide not to toe the party line absolutely.

Again, it can happen in both sides, but it seems to be a much more acute problem at the moment on one side than the other.

I'll predict this, however. If Biden loses, the Democrats may well end up in the same boat as the Republicans down the road if they're still around.

@MistyCee I think it has to do with deep seated feeling of inferiority by certain trumpists. Trumpists as opposed to Republicans (admittedly a dying bred) or real conservatives, who we need.
@monte3 I agree, but it's really hard for Republicans to get elected if they're not Trumpists.

Obama did a number on the Democrats when he left, but Trump from day one has focused on punishing his enemies, rivals and dissenters.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@MistyCee “Obama did a umber on Democrats when you left”, interesting comment! How so?
monte3 · 70-79, M
@MistyCee trump has no appreciation of the interrelatedness of political life. So many different groups interests sac. He sees only himself and his interests and anything else is the enemy.
@monte3 He left an enormous leadership vacuum and if I remember correctly, a real problem with party fundraising as well. Its not even close to what Trump's malignant personality has done to the GOP in a much shorter time, but its a similar thing, I think in some ways.

As to Trump and his appreciation of others, I agree. I don't think he's blind to the fact that there are different interests motivating other people, but he's absolutely focused on how he can use them for his own purposes as opposed to forming actual alliances for any sort of a "common goal" beyond himself.

@Jeffrey53 ... OK, good point, let me re-phrase it then, when a Loony Left Libtard comes knocking at your door and tells you that you’re a racist and that if you deny it, it WILL confirm you are a racist, so we’re going to ruin your life and career ... {I brought race into it because Democrats: Race Baiters: Hypocrites are all interchangeable for the same group of people}
monte3 · 70-79, M
@BigGuy2 so you are provoked enough to go into this rant just out of the blue? 😊. Sin other words the discussion of race sets you off? Interesting...
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@monte3 ...YOU probably ‘rant’, I myself base ‘discussion’ on facts and media stories, so making sure I’m not wrong ... 🤔 INTERESTING 🤣
monte3 · 70-79, M
@BigGuy2 😊 well the post is a rant but🤷‍♂️
I take it you object to discussions of race?
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@monte3 ... and for your information SUNSHINE, I can do nothing else BUT have an element of race in my ‘discussion’ on this kind of topic because Democrats ALWAYS boil the topic down to racism, as in “you’ve just denied your racist, so that makes you a racist” ... keep the comments coming SUNSHINE, as I’m going to win in the end
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@monte3 ... Nope, not a rant, I don’t object to anything, discussion wise, what I do object to is when ‘race baiters/Democrats’ are losing the argument, as they then ALWAYS accuse you of racism in the hope of shutting you down
monte3 · 70-79, M
Let me get this straight: ALWAYSBring race into any discussion? Doesn’t that imply an obsession with race? It seems more than a BIT defensive.
Do you object to discussions of race? Do you think race exists as an issue in America. @BigGuy2
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@monte3 ... you like the word ‘obsession’ don’t you, it’s a pity we’re not physically speaking because I would be saying what I need to say VERY SLOWLY to you as you’re not grasping what I’ve written, or you’re doing a ‘Libtard’ and not wanting to read or hear any opposing opinion ...{that usually means FACTS}
