Might be off-topic but the government owes big $ to Natives for oil royalties and perhaps other mineral royalties & they haven’t paid up yet...billions of $. That needs to be settled once and for all.

@Native I worked with a woman who is younger than me, she said her mother was getting over over $1million in oil royalties on family land & thought the settlement was pretty close. She was making all sorts of plans, but she drowned with 2 other relatives in a flash flood while driving home from a pow wow, went to cross a small bridge & the water swept their van away. Last I heard nobody got any royalty money.

@eMortal It was an accident, her husband was driving his truck behind the van & he saw the whole thing. A wall of water from a flash flood swept their van off into the flooded creek.
