Not sure how you collect your stats, but that pattern was established a long time ago. If you look at US blacks, you will see all types of shades. Slave owners systematically raped their slaves.

Strom Thurmond, one of the South's last openly racist Senators, and one of the longest serving Senators in our history, raped the family maid, when he was a teenager, and she had a daughter. Of course they did not call it rape back in the day, and he did not acknowledge his daughter, until DNA confirmed the match, but he still would not talk about it.
