Have you noticed how quickly the #METOO movement ended?

When Tara Reade said "METOO"

Typical of the way they do things. It's not meant to make change it is meant to slam those they don't like.

Have you noticed that the country is a little busy...

COVID-19

25% unemployment

Worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and possible worse

But, any more strawmen you care to share?

@Northwest Ah yes, the infamous ad hominem attacks from a fleckless malcontent.

I’m embarrassed for you--- you are obviously projecting. Stop it.

@Northwest obviously you noticed , you must be a busy troll

It's still lingering, but after Tara they had to change it to #believesomewomen which didn't have the impact.
Mongoheadmonster · 41-45, M
Ya no kidding.....wasn't generating enough chaos i guess

Metoo generated awareness and change.
The movement is still there.
If they kept making loud noises, instead of the right asking why they have quieted, they'd be bitching about that loudness.

Her lawyer dropped her.
It is easy to hurt your reputation with scum like that.
GERRI · 51-55, F
@Pfuzylogic why did they drop her?
Pfuzylogic · M
@GERRI
The only thing that makes sense to me is that she lied about her accusation and couldn’t back it up. Not everyone is like donny who rapes an ex-wife and a13 year old.
GERRI · 51-55, F
@Pfuzylogic I already knew the reason when I asked:

Doug Wigdor, on dropping Reade as a client said: “is by no means a reflection on whether then-Senator Biden sexually assaulted Ms. Reade. On that point, our view — which is the same view held by the majority of Americans, according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll — has not changed,” Wigdor said in a statement sent to reporters, referring to a poll that showed most voters believe Reade's allegations.
In the statement, Wigdor said Reade has been subject to a “double standard” by the media, a point progressive critics of Biden and Republicans alike have made.
“We also believe that to a large extent Ms. Reade has been subjected to a double standard in terms of the media coverage she has received,” he said. “Much of what has been written about Ms. Reade is not probative of whether then-Senator Biden sexually assaulted her, but rather is intended to victim-shame and attack her credibility on unrelated and irrelevant matters.”

@GERRI
according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll
Sure, from that poll, done in early May:
55 percent of voters surveyed say they believe Reade, against 45 percent who say they do not believe she is telling the truth. Seventy-eight percent of Republicans surveyed believe Reade, while 66 percent Democrats do not believe her.
Notice the flaw in these numbers?

The reason her law firm fired her, is that she's been lying to them about every detail of her life and career. But this branch of law is their bread and butter so they're not going to kill their own business and pretend this is not a good case. They work on commission.

@GERRI
She never proved one part of her allegation but tried to enable a fishing expedition. I am getting tired of people pointing the finger at Joe with no proof at all not even a polygraph. They haven’t even filed in court while trump’s ex-wife filed in court her rape charges and so did the 13 year old twice. Let me offer you a source that Tara can’t provide about your candidates rape past and this is in addition to the 30 some sexual assault complaints against trump. This is a rape that took place in Epstein island with a witness. Something more than Tara had which was a story that kept changing over several decades. She ought to be ashamed of her lies.
This is Gentleman’s Quarterly not the National Enquirer.

Never understood why they chose the pound symbol?
( Pound Me TOO?)
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Don't know what that is, all I know is people were saying "me too" long before hashtags were invented.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Oh, it’s not the first one of these that fell apart, and not the last. Things are, nevertheless, different.

Good point
