Why won't Trump just lead and unite the nation?

Is it because he's a mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, shit-eating white supremacist, he's an incompetent know-nothing waste of valuable resources, or both?

I don't believe he has any ability to unite people. His whole background was about conquering and controlling. Really, anyone that thought he would be any different as a president were kidding themselves.

@daisymay because he is a true narcissist. You simply have to understand that Trump has a serious personality disorder that actually prevents him from thinking of anyone but himself. In order to lead, you have to have some care and compassion for the people you are leading. This is why I don't understand those that support him.

@Peapod Yeah, but he's supposed to be leading. Mitch McConnell's sole and only issue with the last President was that he wouldn't just lead. I'm curious as to why he hasn't bothered to ask the same from this one.
