Did you know that whites can be a minority too?

News flash.

If you believe that Black Lives Matter is racist, you are in the minority.

If you believe that white privilege isn’t a thing, you’re in the minority.

If you think this is just a made up thing by coastal elites... you guessed it... you’re in the minority.

We have a lot of work to do folks. The United States has yet to live up to its fullest potential. Historically, for many of us, it’s been a pretty great place to live.

But it hasn’t been great for all of us.

Now is the time.

Black lives matter BECAUSE all lives matter.

It’s not only in the US either.

It’s time for the US to re-take it’s position as the leader of true Democratic principles. (Not the Democratic party. Democracy baby. Empower the people. )

It’s time for us to include everyone.

It’s time for us to recognize the brilliance of people and to call out those who don’t pull their weight, regardless of race or culture.

We needn’t have minorities at all when we start respecting each other for how we can help one another.

Let Make America Proud Again.

And you think this post is respectful?
To whom?
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Budwick to true Americans
Budwick · 70-79, M
@JoeyFoxx True Black Americans?
True White Americans?
How about true, Latino, gay, with a dash of 2nd amendment support Americans?
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Budwick true Americans work.

True Americans defend the actual principles in the entire Constitution.

True Americans don’t claim their own rights while denying the rights to fellow Americans.

Now, philosophically speaking, there’s no such thing as a “true” anything. It’s a logical fallacy.

On what side do you land?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@JoeyFoxx So, WORKING Americans.
Does that include the illegals working in America?

I just want to understand who we're talking about.
You know how you crazy leftists slice and dice the population into various activist groups.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Budwick does it include recent immigrants who were unable to work here legally because of inept government policy? It sure does. Those people WANT to be Americans and they represent the best of us.

We are a nation of immigrants. Those who have been here for a while tend to forget this and get complacent.

It’s rather ironic how many folks who complain about “illegals” actually employ them... because they are needed.

I’m not slicing and dicing anything, but then I’ve never been what you call a “leftist” so I can only say that you couldn’t be talking about me.

We need to be an actual union where the laws of the land apply equally to all of us.

On which side do you stand?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@JoeyFoxx
On which side do you stand?
The side of law and order.

There's a lot of political identity groups between you and me.
You might be able to see the Law and Order group from where you are.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Budwick so, when the police backed down and the protests became more civil...

Do you support that law and order?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@JoeyFoxx
when the police backed down and the protests became more civil...
When Trump threatened federal troops, then things settled down.

More civil, kinda civil, better than average civil -
how about just plain civil.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Budwick zero intelligent people believed in the “threat”. He was openly mocked while being criticized by members of the military.

Zero governors chose to “dominate “ and yet the rioting and looting went away.

Feel free to wordsmith all you want. It’s curious how you’ve gotten angry when you have accused me of doing this.

Believe what you want to believe about what is happening in the world right now.

If you wish to cling to a sinking ship, that is your prerogative. When the dust settles, we will carry you if necessary, because we’re Americans and that’s how we roll.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Budwick Both of you are wrong. The riots simply ran their course. The sort of anger that’s needed to sustain them tends to be short lived, unless reinvigorated with new crackdowns ala Yanukovich.

The police backed down after things started calming down, and nobody took Trump’s threats seriously to begin with.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@QuixoticSoul in my estimation, it takes two to tango.

There were community leaders among the protesters working with the police to keep things calm.

I will concede that not every event was cause and effect
Budwick · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul
and nobody took Trump’s threats seriously to begin with.
Really? Media were having strokes over it!
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Budwick Largely in your head.
