Good point, young man. The two major parties control the debate committee and wouldn't let the other two candidates even debate. In spite of Gary Johnson having met the support requirement that they first gave him.
The two main parties also work to keep the other parties from being on the ballot in some areas. If Gary Johnson can just get 10% of the popular vote it would allow his party to share in Federal campaign money and almost be guaranteed a spot on the next election's debate.
@ladycae: Thank you for the correction. I was getting my information from Gary Johnson's own website and on that he stated that he had filed suit because they excluded him. I didn't know that he missed a deadline.
@FortyTheRapper, that is also because the two major parties wouldn't even allow Gary Johnson to debate. Had be been able to debate many more people would have come to know of him. But the two major parties don't want that.
actually i have heard a lot about the third party candidates in this election. i have heard Johnson was a great governor but he started way to late to get a leg up in this election. he also is fairly clueless abut all foreign policy and any info on other counties. i think he needs to get himself better educated on a lot of subjects and then run again in 2020 starting earlier and having the knowledge not to be portrayed as a fool. He might make a great president then.
