@kodiac The current German government does a very good job of educating the youth about the horrors of fascism so such as to prevent them from being repeated, and they ban the shit out of Nazi iconography outside of art. Also, they voluntarily paid reparations to Israel in the '50s. The generation responsible for the Holocaust and World War II is now dead and the one that's replaced them is very much respectable.
