Why are these top countries happier than the USA?

There are many things that I don’t agree with in those countries and one is that they forgot about God but they do care about people! They will not tolerate abuse or inequality.

@MarmeeMarch Switzerland is 25% immigrant lmao. New Zealand is downright enthusiastic about people immigrating and is a deliberate cultural melting pot.

I lived in Switzerland. They have laws that like no minarets higher than churches. They also mandate immigrants assimilate.
ThenSwiss are very logical.

@AthrillatheHunt The swiss banned minarets altogether in a surprise referendum result, but lots of mosques are being built without them - and somehow, lots of people are emigrating to NZ despite most not being billionaires, at roughly the triple the rate people are emigrating to the US.

Nobody in Switzerland considered the referendum result a surprise. Nor was anybody in Switzerland surprised when .they banned the burka.@QuixoticSoul

In 2014 they went up to 49
and in 2018 they went up to 62 ...

After an immigrant who was denied sitizenship drove a truck into downtown Stockholm and terrorized Sweden a few years ago, and there were some other incidents so a few people who had been to the us stirred up a fascist movement listening to some right wing fascists in the USA! And brought that back to Sweden! But none of the other governmental parties will talk to the fascists ( they call themselves swedish Democrats) but they are fascists and anti immigration and haters and not taken serious!

You know what happened in 2009? The entire Arabic Spring + Unrest in central africa, caused a refugee stream. A lot of them thought Europe was the way to go. And because outside the EU, most of the north-African and middle eastern dictators that had strategic ties to the EU for it's migration policy started to fell, migrants weren't held back anny longer on the outskirts.

Lots of little boats came over the meditterean, and started piling up in EU states that actually have a border that is reachable [i](Unlike EU states at the middle or in the west since South-American boats just don't cross the pacific)[/i]. Since the EU totally fucked up because of sovereign national interests [i](this is a lesson for those people that say countries have no sovereignity in the EU)[/i], human beings started to pile up in Greece and Italy. The consequence was that at some point that dam broke too, and pretty much every european country has seen an increase in immigrants. This created a reaction by those that consider this a threat. And this spiked a right-wing-poppulist interest in pretty much every country out here... which is kinda haunting domestic politics in a lot of countries. Including Sweden.

@Kwek00 Sweden has taken in immigrants for hundreds of years they took in almost the most Jews in WW11 but there weren’t any fascists then in Sweden this is a movement that is fueled by the USA Republican Party right wingers!

I have nothing but love for the Swedes. I can’t for the life of me, however, understand their thought process.
1. We are aging and need immigrants to work and pay our pensions.
2. Immigrants may not pay our pensions but they won’t be a burden on social services because they will at least work.
3. Immigrants are unwilling to work and are draining social services but it’s the humanitarian thing to do.
4. Swedish pensions may not exist soon but we can feel good knowing we did the right thing.@Kwek00
