Trump To Overrule Governors, Yet Again

Sort of....

Trump announced Friday that he was designating churches, synagogues and mosques as “essential places that provide essential services” as the nation continues to combat the coronavirus, despite lacking legal power over state governance.

“Some governors have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential, but have left out houses of worship. It’s not right,” Trump said. “So I’m correcting this injustice by calling houses of worship essential.”

“If they don’t do it, I will override the governors,” the president threatened.

Not clear what Constitutional authority he will assert, to make Governors do it, but "saying" it, is all he seems to need, to secure the Evangelical vote, and I say that because no non-Orthodox Jewish votes or Muslim votes, not controlled by the Saudis, will be going his way.

Imo, Trump has low self esteem and acts like this wannabe dictator to bring it up. He can’t accept that state governors have more authority over their state than he does.
@SW-User He has NO self esteem, no dignity at all. He does have an exaggerated sense of self-importance and a sense of entitlement requiring constant, excessive admiration. He expects to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it. And he has an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others. His ignorance is profound.
