What do you think about people being so nasty to each other because of political opinions?

I think it's just so ugly and pathetic to see people be so hateful and genuinely wish harm on others just because they have a different opinion about politics. It's ugly how every election for the new POTUS is like the civil war all over again.

I find it disheartening, and quite disturbing sometimes. It bothers me even more, when I see those who most share my own views...wish harm on those they disagree with politically.

@Piper this would be true and I am certainly not guilt free of insulting the agenda of the party I strongly disagree with. But I hope I don't go so personal that I sound like I am fighting with someone that has done me great harm.

@Peapod I'm sure not guilt-free either, of criticizing the stances and policies of those I disagree with. I have most certainly said insulting things about this current president. Not just his policies, but about who he so clearly is. I've even gotten a little personally insulting back to a person, a few times.
If you are guilty of the kind of ugliness I was referring to though, I've not seen it.
