What do you think about people being so nasty to each other because of political opinions?

I think it's just so ugly and pathetic to see people be so hateful and genuinely wish harm on others just because they have a different opinion about politics. It's ugly how every election for the new POTUS is like the civil war all over again.

I wish I knew. I certainly don't understand the true personal venom that comes from some that don't even know the other person they are talking to.

What is really disturbing is watching the broad brush type insults from someone you just had a really great conversation about something you do have in common.

It's sad really.

@Peapod that happens all the time. What's really shitty is that if you comment on their insult they'll actually start to hate you even though you just had all of these good experiences. Something is wrong with these people

@MartinTheFirst It's why I start to consider taking breaks from the internet. At the very least, I think I have to stop feeling it's a badge of honor to NOT block people that can only insult me, just because they figure I am not of the same political agenda.
