What do you think about people being so nasty to each other because of political opinions?

I think it's just so ugly and pathetic to see people be so hateful and genuinely wish harm on others just because they have a different opinion about politics. It's ugly how every election for the new POTUS is like the civil war all over again.

"like the civil war" and not unlike the Revolutionary War. People haven't changed much but the difference is our ability to communicate with each other in real time. The President serves at the pleasure of the people and can be removed at any time.
