I know it had to be passed in the House and Senate. Otherwise the bill would have died. But the bill could have also died had Trump vetoed, no?
There was a severe financial crisis in 2008, and Obama used taxpayer dollars to bail out the banks. Why couldn't he have given the taxpayers some checks directly just to alleviate some pain?
Even ignoring that, it doesn't matter IF there were no reason for a check to be given out prior to this.
Who is to say a President Clinton would have done the same thing Trump is doing, in allowing and signing the bill or whatever legislation that allows for the dispersal of these checks?
We'll never know %100 what a DemocRat president would have done because they are currently politically impotent.
Maybe a different president other than Trump would have never okayed the checks.
My bottom line stands.
