It amazes me that people voted for Johnson and trump but then complain that our countries are in ruin

Yeah British politics is screwed at the minute.
All the main parties need to get their @r$£ in gear and figure out the best way forward.

Gotta love how you can't gather in numbers in the UK at the moment....you watch those green benches in Parliament tomorrow.

@Picklebobble2 ye crazy times at the moment
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 Time to change first past the post to proportional representation, stop each curent Government chaging the borders for voting, and change it so the people get to vote for the PM, so not just vote for the party but also for the next PM.

@milkymum1 people didn't vote for corbyn I think mainly down to them being afraid of change
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Loopysoutherner That and the tory BBC and tory press ran a hug anti hate cobyn campainge.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F

@milkymum1 Trouble with that kind of system is nothing gets done. Everything is a compromise.
I don't think we ever really thought through what would happen to life after the big industries ended.
And now we have one generation annoyed because their pensions are worth nothing.
Another generation living longer than anyone thought they would. And a younger generation who are just as lost as their parents in finding direction and balance in life.

@Picklebobble2 think history sometimes forgets thst the swinging 60s was under a Labour government and had people in good jobs earning good money
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Loopysoutherner and then the Thatcher era saw it as irredeemably rotten and so sold it all with no thought for the generations that followed.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 YEs and that didn't hurt the toresi when they ahd to share with the Lib dems they actually had to think about what would be a good policy or not.

Well we should have as under Thatcher and then Major the idea to go to China started and that was the end of UK industry.

Yes all doen by the tories to divide and conquer.
