Experts are saying this for months. Im also convinced about China not reporting real numbers
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Bagalamaga Yeah but the point is that people assumed the death rate was 3%. If it is a lot higher than that its a bit of a worry.
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@Burnley123 It’s just doesn’t make sense to me. There’s a virus and you have a 97% chance of surviving if you get it. They however locked down the whole world. I had to close up shop and in Toronto, there’s a 5000 dollar fine if you don’t keep 6 feet distance from others in public places. It’s either way more serious than they admit or it really is severely exaggerated
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Bagalamaga Mate, its not a 97% surival rate! Its a lot worse
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@Burnley123 so the WHO data is bs?
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga Either way what cost do you put on a human's life and I'm sure IF it was one of your loved one's who died from it and the shops/ businesses wern't closed you'd be pissed off, upset and demanding why they wern't closed.
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 oh I understand why they’re doing it. I also know that this can’t go on for much longer because if the virus doesn’t take you out,the global recession will
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga ANy virus can mutat so it CAN take us out as there is NO vaccine at the moment that's why its this serious.

ALso we have had many a recession and come back from it.

Also when we had the refurendum Boris and co said we 'the uk) wouls find it harder and have our own recession but all of a sudden with this they now realise that's not a very good idea and have turned into a Tory-socilist party throwing money left, right and centre to keep businesses going.

Even with all of that they know a recession will happen and have deiced its cheaper for them to throw the money around than have mass-unemployment
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 Throwing money around is not a solution though. It’s a short term fix at best. It also creates tremendous amounts of debt to just print money like the states did. I wasn’t around the Great Depression but everyone in the finance business says it’s probably gonna be on the same scale. We didn’t experience a recession like this one in 90 years. Things were also way simpler 90 years ago. A German finance minister just committed suicide. That’s a bit alarming
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga The UK policies over the last 20 eyars have been a short term fix, they don't look at the long term, hense why the UK is so badly prepared for this, one word AUSTERITY.

The UK is a nation of debt, the average per adult is £62,000 and no doubt will go higher as borrowing money here is extremly easy.

Well in the UK my Dad said in the 1970s owrkers went down to a 3 day working week, and yes the recession in the late 1980s early 1990s and also from 2008 with the banking.

Things might have simplier when we are looking back into History but for the people living it then it was by far simpiler.

Yes I heard about that too and so very sad as noone should feel under that pressure to commit suicide.
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 800 000 people got laid off only in the bar and restaurant business. 10% of restaurants are permanently closed their doors and only 3 weeks passed. My sister works as a manager for a chain and there are talks of shutting 40% of their locations down to get back on their feet. It hasn’t even been a month. Imagine if this drags on til summer
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga Imagine the danger IF they ALL stayed open the virus would spread even faster than it has now.

All you are doing is putting bussiness above peoples lives and that is complety heartless and you go on you understand IF it was one of your loved ones well it doesn't sound like it all
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 poverty is nasty. Im not talking about first world “poverty” either. As i said,I understand the reason behind the closures. With millions out of the jobs worldwide,it won’t be any better for my loved ones either. Crime rate skyrockets, people will die. That’s after this virus has been dealt with
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga That's why the leaders of each country have to step up to the mark and stop lying and actually start taking it seriously.

Boris hero is Chruchill and he's always wanted to do what he did and he's had his Churchill moment ans failed spectaucally
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 it’s too late for anybody to step up. We’re royally screwed even if it lasts a few more months. Everything was more important for governments ,companies AND consumers worldwide than to prepare for a pandemic. Nobody wanted to invest.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga Its never ever too late to take action, the tories were neevr ever interested unlike other EU countries.

As far as Boris and co were concerned was it would kill of the old, the terminnally ill, anyone rzally.

It was reported boris and DC laughed at that idea and Boris joked about the ventorlaotors as poeration last gasp!!!!!!

IF the tories were serious at all they would see that in mainland EU countries with lockdown the numbers are falling, what is horrifying is that we are 3 weeks behind Italy, 2 weeks behind France and we are going to go past them very soon.
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 it’s not this virus im worried about. It’s what comes after. They should have had a plan ready. Let’s print more money and close down borders two months late is not much of a plan.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga What borders we haven't closed ours down, we are STILL accepting flights from Italy, Spain, USA in face most places with NO checks for ANY passengers when they depart!!!
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 that’s messed up. You guys must feel like sitting ducks
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Bagalamaga Yes it is completly but sadly not enough of us are, far too many simpletons think what boris and co are doing is right!!!!!
