Is this the calm before the storm?

I think things are about to get a lot worse.

The real test is today. The sun came out.

@CheshireCatalyst People need to stay in but a lot are still not taking this seriously

@Burnley123 it's pretty good here. I'm a key worker - brag - and town is dead. Supermarkets are a problem though.

@CheshireCatalyst Yeah, people are pretty much just shopping as normal. They should all be forced to move to delivery only.
@Burnley123 that is simply impossible.
CheshireCatalyst · 36-40, M
@Burnley123 that would take some kind of central authority with organisational skills and the power to delegate to smaller local authorities. I don't think we have one of those... do we?
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@TheSirfurryanimalWales Its not. They would need more drivers and to work differently but it could be done if there was the will.

@CheshireCatalyst We dont. The government should show crearivity in setting up local committees with council and business leaders to sort this stuff out. Its one of the things that might have to happen anyway in a month.
@Burnley123 How many households are there in the country?My sister cannot
get a delivery for 5 weeks.I use places that do not deliver.And the mimimum order
requirement is more than my monthly food bill.I can’t afford home delivery.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales I'm saying what should happen, not what i think will happen. Youd have to have coordinated recruitment and transfer supermarket checkout staff with their own cars to be drivers. The resources are there if govt was clear sited enough.

Yes, the opposite is true. My parents live in North blackpool and its 8 weeks for a delkvery there, in an area with lots of high risk peolpe.
