Is the Senate going to vote on a clean money bill for CV or will it be junked up with Pelosi pork?

If you ask me the Dems attempting to politicize the health crisis disqualifies any of them from winning a November election.

They were pushing some issues that didn’t pertain to the pandemic...but so was the other side. Both are just trying to push their own agendas while the normal common man is still waiting to see if he’ll be able to,pay his bill next month
@LonGone To Jack playing politics is only wrong when one side does it.

Mrs Pelosi realized she had either overreached made a faux paux or both lol. The tightening of which companies get money and how and for what and how it may be paid back are all good things. Based on the politicians insider trading a few weeks ago prohibiting Congress and the President from getting any of it is a good idea too. Trying to insert carbon emission rules and the like was playing politics. So far I haven’t seen any evidence of the “their side” as you call it trying the same stunts. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow @LonGone
@jackjjackson It is very easy to miss when you actively avoid looking at anything that doesn't fit your narrative. How about tying their version of the bill to Planned Parenthood demands?

@jackjjackson The House bill seemed more of a shot across the bow sort of thing anyhow.

That said, a lot of things in there that people are whining about, like student loan relief and expanded tax credits for the poor - are also old fashioned stimulus, and a good idea in the current economic situation.

Please provide a cogent argument why they are entitled to my money. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

You know that some people used their savings to pay for their kids college and some people kept their money and made their kids borrow it, right? That all needs to be sorted out in a thoughtful equitable manner.

We all agree that the final version is about what it should be and they’ve all wasted everyone’s time. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow @QuixoticSoul
@jackjjackson Please provide a coherent sentence.

@jackjjackson Yes - and of course many of us have long paid off our student loans too.

Nevertheless, the money millions of young adults are paying for their student loans is better off being injected right back into the economy - and the costs have become rather bizarre recently.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson If it got the Senate to hurry up - not a waste of time 😂

And some of that is just a test run, expect for it to resurface in subsequent bills. This is not the last piece of coronavirus recession legislation.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
For sure. Mrs Pelosi’s snot across the bow was just that but it did cause unnecessary delay. When are they going to punish Brr, Feinstein and the rest of those inside traders. In Feinstein’s case she made a hell of a lot of money in particular. @QuixoticSoul
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Sure they will probably try again. However public opinion is now against them. The more they do it the better for the GOP in November.

@QuixoticSoul
@jackjjackson And as usual you give the GOP a blanket pass for identical behavior. Nothing new there.

The final bill is a good one. Here, this will cheer you up:

Suddenly, a cow runs out onto the road, and a limo driving late at night, hits it head on, and the car comes to a stop.
The woman in the back seat, in her usual abrasive manner, says to the Chauffeur, "You get out and check on that poor cow. You were driving."
So the chauffeur gets out, checks, and reports that the animal is dead, but it appeared to be very old. Well, says the woman, "You were driving, so you go and tell the farmer in that lighted farmhouse over there."
...
Two hours later the chauffeur returns totally inebriated, a full belly, his hair ruffled, and a big grin on his face.
“My God, what happened to you?" asks the nasty woman.
The chauffeur replies, "When I got there, the farmer opened his best bottle of single malt scotch, the wife gave me a meal fit for a king, and the daughter made love to me."
“What on earth did you say?" asks the woman.
Well, I just knocked on the door, and when it opened, I said to them, "I'm Nancy Pelosi’s chauffeur, and I’ve just killed the old cow."
Don’t you just love a story with a happy ending? @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

@jackjjackson Cogent argument for abortion access? Shit's good for the society, and you live in a society. As an aside, the major opposition comes from people who can't even articulate an argument against the concept without falling back on stone-age superstitions. Watching them get assblasted over it is also a social good in itself.

He’ll always sink to the lowest level, he’s never interested in a real discussion you know you’re wasting your time @QuixoticSoul

@LonGone Wasting time?

You boys are trying to paper over the fact that your dem heroes and heroines for the most part return to DC from vacation to work for our country and instead engaged in remote sabotage. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow @QuixoticSoul @LonGone
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson Prodding the Senate to get its shit together is not sabotage.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Delaying and attempting to further the far left political agenda is. @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson Pelosi is not even a member of the senate, shocking.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You’re trying to pretend she wasn’t barking orders at Schumer?😳 @QuixoticSoul
@jackjjackson Pelosi advancing a far left agenda? You are too much man. Since when did pandering to liberal oligarchs become a leftist agenda?

Bankers of the world unite!

Since you’re an expert, please lay out everything medically and economically as you see it. Then what the policies that you believe regarding both should be. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

I told you I don’t have any heroes when it comes to Washington, but you’d have to be blind, or ignorant, to not be able to see instead of concentrating on helping citizens there were additional agendas being pushed @jackjjackson
