Which principles from capitalism and communism are worth saving for our next society designation?

Capitalism has pretty much lived way past its sell before date.
As for communism or socialism (I won't get into terminology right now) I think the idea of improving the lot of the majority of society should be the metric not how well off a few rich people are at the top.
Also despite the cliches a command economy has definitely got merits and a decentralized command economy could solve alot of the problems with the older style that was plagued by lack of technology and human failings. People forget the command economic model gave us the two greatest economic success stories in human history. Now I will wait to get hit with a million whataboutisms. lol
