So so many things wrong with this. You claim to be educating people but you need to educate yourself.
A government is not a household. Private debt and public debt have an important (and often inverse) relationship. Keynesian paradox of thrift.

@Burnley123 And definitely take on yearly debt in bad times, but create surpluses in good times (like the last 4 to 5 years, which Canada or USA has not done).

@okaybut Deficit spending in good times you can legitimately question. I cant agree with your original post though

@Burnley123 You are right, let me adjust it. Added "always".

Got it, abandon everything, live in a hovel because trying to better our lives is pointless.

The young people will be old people one day and then their children will have to pay...it's normal, debt will always rise but is not a problem as long as you can pay the interest back....like buying a car on hp, as long as you can make the payments, you don't have a problem...
I never spend more than what I have. Stupid people do things like that.
I'm not the government, i have nothing to do with it.
If the government wants to spend more than they have then they are stupid too.
What am i supposed to do about it? Who the hell is gonna listen?

@Burnley123 what? Taking money that isnt there has the same results...debt. what are YOU talking about?
@JAYS21 Iam a lefty....you people that go on about lefties dont even really know what it means, your so set in your ways that you refuse to listen to anyone else, get set off by trigger words like left and feminism. Stop and listen, you'll find out that they are not what you think and that you had a closed mind all along

@okaybut Cuts in government spending reduce enployment, increase welfare payments and reduce taxes. It also reduces consumer spending, which cuts business profits, which means they lay off staff. Then additional unemployment, more welfare, less taxes and so in.
I repeat: a government (or national economy) does not behave like a household.

@Burnley123 I repeat money is money. In Canada an average household of four does not have $7000 after tax dollars. It does not exist, because it goes to pay interest on our debt.
