Do you think that having a space force as a military branch is an exaggeration or just a preventive measure?

Does it make the future seem a lot more twisted and macabre or is it an indicator of progress?

In some respects it's valid... If someone has weapons high in the sky, it's a hard threat to ignore... But also a bit of empire building maybe
