The Speaker and the President owe us an apology

They embarrassed the nation on television last night.

They are arrogant and self-righteous and neither demonstrated leadership.

They should be ashamed.

They owe us an apology.

I have to disagree. The president didn't shake the VP's hand either and I think he just missed her extending her hand. Wasn't a snub. I thought it was an accident not intentional. I could easily be wrong but that is just my opinion. I thought he did a great job of leaving politics out of the speech and that was good so I don't think he was being petty.

Her tearing up the speech after certainly was awful. Plus she babbled and made faces like a spoiled brat during the entire thing.

@joesand99 did you listen to the same speech the rest of us did?

He called out the Democrats multiple times and puffed up the Republicans. It was barely a state of the union. It was a campaign commercial.

@JoeyFoxx We all have our opinions. Thank you for sharing yours.

@joesand99 except your statement that he avoided being political is objectively wrong.

Just because someone has an opinion that the sky isn’t blue doesn’t make that a valid opinion.

@joesand99 I was wondering how someone could possibly advance the idea that it was ok for Trump,p to snub Pelosi but terrible, shameful and mean for her to tear up the campaign speech. Now I know...🙄

@monte3 @JoeyFoxx I said "I thought it was an accident not intentional. I could easily be wrong but that is just my opinion"

So it was my opinion and I am entitled to it. My feelings and opinions are mine and they are valid. You can debate facts but you cannot debate my opinion. My opinion could be off or wrong but it is not invalid. And I don't think he snubbed her. I will say that if he did it on purpose then it was wrong. Why don't we ask him instead of jumping the gun on it all.

That is our problem in this country. We are all to eager to tell then they are wrong and jump on them to fall in line with our beliefs of how it should be. I respect your opinions and you should respect mine. Doesn't matter if you agree or disagree. We can debate kindly and respectful or your can insult me and try to tell me I am stupid. I think you both chose the latter. At least that is how I feel. You both believe he snubbed her and I didn't see it that way. Absent some facts we are in a stalemate. It isn't as simple as the sky being blue. There is no reason to attack me over it.

@joesand99 you are absolutely correct that you are entitled to your opinion. Which in this case I respectfully disagree with. Ignoring Pelosi attempt of at least superficial civility was intended. And in character for Trump. Hell he should have extend his hand to her first.

@monte3 He didn't shake Pence's hand either so I don't think he did anything wrong. Everyone wants to look to attack everyone instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Even some of the news outlets are starting to say "if" he meant to do it. I respect your opinion that he ignored her and respectfully disagree that he meant to do it.
