They are our compatriots. Don't forget that a few decades ago, the Democrats stood for racism. Education, and a common purpose, can change people.

@Northwest Sadly, we are now educating the un-educatable, and they are breeding much faster than we are according to their 'wholesome religious values'; as a result, they are making society stupider in the long run by sheer numbers and the law of averages.

@Human1000 I don't believe the transformation of Houston, Austin, and Durham (to name a few), to be racist Democrats switching to GOP. This is a new generation, and the change was driven by education. I'm certainly not going to empathize with the racists, or bond with them over a meal, and that's not what I meant.

@Northwest I didn't think you meant more liberal cities. And you're talking about the future so we will see. Red states strip the right to vote from tens of thousands of Dems. Also, with hundreds of judges loyal only to Trump and his vision of a white power structure, we'll be in an apartheid situation soon enough.

@Human1000 It's not going to happen overnight. Since I started voting, I watched as:
California became blue
Washington State became blue
Oregon became blue
Houston became blue
Durham became blue
Arizona is about to flip blue
.....
All due to higher levels of education, and openness to various cultures, and there is no going back.
