Should Democrat Leadership Be Punished ??

Should Democrat Leadership Be Punished ??

Should Democrat Leadership Be Punished for perpetrating lies, making shit up, attempting to over turn the last election and interfere / meddle in the 2020 election?

Schiff's 'rock solid' evidence against Trump never surfaced. None of the 'witnesses' witnessed anything. All the real evidence points to the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong - yet the left persists. Obviously, their motivation has nothing to do with any wrong doing.

These false distractions have been the focal point for democrats and the media for three years now! The topic had a negative effect on America in many respects.

I don't know if it's a crime for politicians to lie - I suppose if it were, DC would be a ghost town. But, this rises to a level that in my opinion can not be ignored or allowed to happen again. In my opinion the people that put us through this mess need to be punished - severely.

Got to love right wing thinking. Anything that upsets you is a lie and anyone who upsets you should be punished.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow No wonder they admire the Nazis so much and want to be just like them.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Not all right wing folks think that way, and the shoe could well be on the other foot and a left wing authoritarian might just as well be arguing for the punishment of dissent.

I get that Trumpism seems to have thus far completely taken over the Republican party and pretends to be conservative in its nature, but it should not just be left wing people worried about political retaliation and abuse of power.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Lies are lies.

Excert of statement made by Adam Schiff to Congress - "I have a favor I want from you though. And I’m going to say this only seven times so you better listen good. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand. Lots of it. "
@MistyCee The thing is compared to the rest of the planet with the exception of the Squad and Bernie the US has nothing but right wing politicians. And by the standards of the rest of the world even Bernie is slightly left of centre not some extreme leftist.

@MistyCee
should not just be left wing people worried about political retaliation and abuse of power
No one on the left is concerned about the ACTUAL abuse of power perpetrated by the House!
@Budwick That is what Trump did. He created a fiasco in Ukraine because he felt threatened by Joe Biden of all people. lol
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Budwick Except he made it clear that he was paraphrasing and engaging in parody.

You forgot that bit.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@MistyCee are you saying that the impeachment process is an abuse of power?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@monte3
the impeachment process is an abuse of power
I'm sure she will deny that as her meaning.
She's been rather unclear in her posts recently.
Maybe her hair is turning orange?

@Budwick t he sarcasm or exaggeration that Schiff used when all the Republicans had copies of the call? THAT is what you are still going back to? The call wasn’t that long all the Republicans could have, should have, read it; but than why worry about facts when party loyalty is involved?
@Budwick And as usual cutting things out of context.
@monte3 What makes you think I'd say that?

I do think that the impeachment power could be abused, but I don't think it has been in this instance.

Quite the opposite, in fact.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@MistyCee for once I was confused about your meaning. Of course theoretically the left outs move for elimination of dissent, but at this point in time in America that push is going to come from the right.
@monte3 If I only confuse you this once, I'm worried about you. I confuse myself all the time. 🤪

My point was that what is alleged in this impeachment proceeding ought to be concerning for all parts of the political spectrum.

The fact that Trump supports tax cuts, abortion restrictions, religious liberty when it suits him politically should not make those who support those things turn a blind eye to his alleged misconduct, any more than, for example Democrats should not have been concerned about Obama allegedly using the IRD against his political opponents.

It's difficult not to get hyperbolic, but the heart of both impeachment articles rests on abuse of the office and dismissing the articles as the product of partisanship without considering them does not seem to me to be a conservative or a liberal choice.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@MistyCee I couldn’t agree more, especially the last paragraph.
And my agreement perhaps should worry you! 😊
akindheart · 61-69, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow the truth is the truth.
@akindheart I would agree but there seems to be alot of people here who think beliefs and facts are interchangeable.

Oh Man! - You nailed it!
@Budwick You do realize I was speaking about you and company. The holy Church of the orange Trump.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow And You must know I was pointing your gun right back at you.
