Too soon to tell, but I'm not optimistic.
Trump is going to end up walking out of this pissed off and confident that he is above the law and can do anything he wants to hurt his enemies or reward his allies.
He'll be free to use the US Treasury and the lives of US citizens to buy any assistance from foreign governments, companies and individuals of all sorts that he can get, for example, and having established that he can unilaterally claim privilege and immunity and ignore attempts at Congressional oversight including subpoenas even on non-executive employees, there's really nothing to stop Trump from using the full power of the executive office to interfere with both State and Federal elections.
That's why impeachment was a HUGE gamble the Democrats took with the future of the country.
