In fairness, she has good points...
The rest I find too awkward..
Children younger than her are terrified of doomsday!

@Dusty101 Well, I was too in Oct of '63, when the threat to mankind, was very imminent as Russian ships loaded with missiles headed toward Cuba, and a confrontation with U.S. Naval forces and a potential flashpoint for WW3. Thankfully, level heads from both sides saw the futility, and thankfully the crisis was diffused. That was a truly imminent doomsday.

@soar2newhighs that's something else...
Thankfully they saw the futility of it!🤗

@soar2newhighs Thank God we had Kennedy in October 1962 instead of Trump. We'd all be dead now with a pompous ass like Trump making those kinds of decisions.

@windinhishair, we would not be here today imho. Kennedy knew to stay calm and keep the nation together through a very dangerous and potentially lethal situation for the country!

@Peapod Kennedy sent his brother Robert to talk to the Russian Foreign Minister on the side to work out a face-saving deal for both sides. Trump would probably send Giuliani to get a WIN. Which would likely lead to WWIII.

@windinhishair, people forget or fail to comprehend what the Cold War era was like. I learned much from my dad that worked with missle proposals for the US. This was no joke.
Trump is still a very dangerous man, but hey, if his supporters want to blindly ignore his personality disorders, I hope they never live through another Cuban Crisis with this bozo in charge.

@Peapod It was far from a joke. One of Kennedy's advisors later recalled watching the sunset from the White House and thinking that it might be the last sunset he would ever see. The Joint Chiefs of Staff recommended a military strike against Cuba, which would have led us to war. Kennedy did not agree, thank goodness. Does anyone today think that, faced with something similar, Trump would exercise any constraint? He can't even conceive of it.

@windinhishair Nope. The rabid right would rather remember Kennedy as being a mere womanizer as opposed to a very strong leader.
