Moving goalposts

Money was never threatened to be held..

Presidents do it all the time

The President didn’t directly instruct anyone

Lev Parnas is unknown to the President

And now, abuse of power isn’t an impeachable offense.

Curious how the President’s supporters complain about moving goalposts. It’s rather like how the President complains about fake news.

We desperately need a change.

He’s been unable to drain the swamp. We need someone who can.

you're not going to elect someone who'll do that and you won't get it through any sort of governmental process like an impeachment. It's time Americans started footing the bill with blood by taking back the power forcefully
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand why is force necessary ?

Why not elect people based on fact?
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@JoeyFoxx the system only gives you the illusion that you can change it by using the same system, it's how they keep people complacent. They think so long as they have the option to participate then that means they are free.

No thanks.

@QuixoticSoul Yes I get it, you like to run away from your problems and bow to power. You're a paragon of stagnation and accept being walked over if the offering is just a semblance of peace.

@Jackaloftheazuresand I lived through one revolution already and despite being totally non-violent it absolutely sucked ass. Things in the states aren’t anywhere near that bad, and the basic mechanisms of democracy work fine.

Burgers and their boogaloo fantasies smh

What's the plan after we footed the bill with blood? How will our life look like when we are truly free?
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@Kwek00 That will be up to you, if you want to tear down and rebuild the same structure so be it. You'll have the taste of the price fresh in your mouth.

Sitting around complaining about how this is wrong and then tossing a couple of bandages at it is one of the dumbest things humans do. If you don't like that then you just need to be quiet, no complaints unless you are willing to do more than a half-measure. Talking about this for years and the people keep doing the same damn thing hoping it turns out different.

I see it in your questions, you want guarantees, you want safety. What are you willing to do is the better question. If it's only what's mildly inconvenient for you perhaps, in this example, you prefer the swamp. So how far would you go to drain it? That will be your credit limit for grievances.

Has it not been turning out diffrent?
It's time Americans started footing the bill with blood by taking back the power forcefully
If you are asking people to bleed for something... then I'm just curious what that something should be? 🤷‍♂️ But I'm glad that if Americans have footed the bill with their blood and taking back control, that after all that...
That will be up to you
... it's going to be up to me to decide. That's pretty cool. ✌️

@Jackaloftheazuresand The part that boogaloo enthusiasts don’t seem to understand is that the country is... largely fine. Far from perfect, with serious issues that need to be addressed, but still - largely fine. With mechanisms for change that still reliably function via democratic means.

Fucking up the 95% to “fix” the rest is straight poor planning.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@QuixoticSoul Fix it then since you believe in it so much and think you understand how it all fits together. Either I get to mock you after or you actually do something so it's a win-win.
