Actually, Democrats would be rightly questioning his sanity. Obama, Bush Jr., and Clinton all had opportunities to take out Soleimani, but all refused to take such a reckless and idiotic action due to the high potential for war. But Trump was pissed about impeachment, and with additional emails coming out showing him withholding aid to Ukraine personally, he needed a big diversion. What better way to do that than to risk American lives in war? As long as his personal interests are served, he doesn't give a shit about how many Americans have to die.

@DukeOfEarle I would have been happy to have Bush Jr. take out Bin Laden, or have Clinton be successful when he targeted him in Somalia. As incredible as it may seem, Bin Laden wasn't part of a government like Soleimani, and it wasn't a reckless and irresponsible act. We haven't even seen how many Americans are going to die yet. Why don't you wait and see why neither Clinton, Bush, nor Obama targeted Soleimani?

@DukeOfEarle As incredible as it may seem, assassinating foreign leaders or their staff has consequences. Other leaders paid attention to consequences. Trump acts randomly and recklessly, then sits back and watches what happens.

Unfortunately our country has been doing this for a very very long time. Long before Trump was even born we’ve overthrown democratic leaders solely because they refused to be American puppets. The only difference between then and now is how much attention the media chooses to give it and what kind of spin they wish to give it. Some presidents get a pass. Others get scrutinized and crucified. It would be nice if the same attention was given equally. But partisan politics are part of the news/infotainment game these days. @windinhishair

@DukeOfEarle Political assassinations have always been wrong. That we did so many decades ago doesn't excuse the recent reckless actions of Trump, as he deliberately pushes Iran towards war. Trump has threatened to attack 52 sites in Iran, including cultural sites. Because when you are consumed with rage and hatred, you not only want to attack the military, you want to attack the very culture of those you hate with your entire being. But without a doubt, his cultists will support bombing cultural sites.
