Is the media, public making too big of a deal of what Trump said over ten years ago?

I don't think so...if we were talking about a 40 year old that got drunk and spouted off at the mouth when he was in his late 20's I'd say that's one thing. But 11 years ago he was a 59 year old married man. He hasn't had any coming of age over the last decade.

And I know the most popular retort is to bring up Hillary's "alleged" involvement in dealing with Bill's affairs. And I think that's a legitimate argument that shouldn't be ignored. If anyone is in possession of a tape showing her wrongdoing in this matter it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and release it since early voting is underway.

That is the major difference that Trump's camp doesn't seem to understand or want to admit to understanding. The knocks they talk about on Hillary are all "alleged" knocks while the knocks on Trump are supported by audio/video/live footage of the words coming directly from his mouth.

There are women on video crying over the way Hillary bashed them after they were raped by her husband.

Is Hillary bashing them in the video? How do you know this?
carpediem · 61-69, M
@StrangeWorld: Give it up. She ruined the lives of these women whether or not you want to accept it. Trump saying stupid things is just not as bad as Hillary ruining lives.

Lol, same ole carpediem. A champion of the constitution unless it happens to not suit his current opinion. Last I checked Hillary hasn't been convicted of anything.

@StrangeWorld: Last I checked dumbass, neither has Trump. But for some reason, Trump's boorish behavior is FAR worst than Hillary's vicious behavior. You're a lemming stranger. The woman is a nasty vindictive bitch. Typical for a left wing politician I suppose.

Hillary's list of troubling incidents are so long, they couldn't possibly be listed here. But that's ok for nut jobs like you.

Hey I don't pretend to be an insider that gets secret information. Like the rest of us all I can do is read from various sources and try to form my own opinion. And right now....the worst you see out there about Hillary is the same topics Trump supporters hit over and over. As they should since this is an election year. But as far as credence goes? All that Trump supporters have on Clinton are their own accusations. Even his own party can't decide if they come with any validity or not. So why should anyone really take them all that seriously? It all just comes across as being quite desperate. Like watching a fish flop around on the deck trying to find its way back to water.

While on the other hand you have the Clinton camp making accusations towards Trump and saying "Here, watch the video tape that backs up what we are accusing him of."

But what do I know...I guess you MBA people get some kind of secret security briefing that the rest of us college graduates didn't get, lol.

How does what he said effect his policies?

Gunsmoke if I acted in a way that showed zero respect and degradation towards 51-55 year old men with the username Gunsmoke....would you trust that any policy I created was in your best interest? Would you trust me to protect you?
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@StrangeWorld: If he has good policies, fixes our problems, doesn't that help everyone?
SW-User
Sure it would but we don't know if he has good policies that will fix our problems. Him and his ideas are very highly untested in this arena. For every person that justifies them working you can find someone to justify them putting us into ruin. There's no benchmark to put him against because he is an unconventional candidate. So an undecided person is going to look at other qualities and his past will become a focus of that. I get that he has supporters that buy into the "what do we have to lose" way of thinking but there are just as many (likely more) that realize we have plenty to lose.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
So the talk should be on his policies, not what he said over ten years ago. We and the media should focus on both of their policies not the crap we keep hearing about.
MildlyInappropriate · 51-55, M
@GunSmoke9: It would be great if he actually discussed his policies. He's had the opportunity at two debates, but he just dodges those questions. John Kasich has also said that the Trump camp reached out to ask him to be Trump's VP, promising him the authority to run the government while Donald's job was going to be "making America great."

When pressed on any detail, he falls back on his rhetorical crutches, like, "We have plans, great plans HUGE plans, the best plans anyone has ever made, even better than the generals...

Instead of giving us details, he instead gives us these time bombs that just keep going off.

Chris: Whether or not there was any criminal wrongdoing by Slick Willy is outside our realm of knowing. My gut tells me the man is a total dirtbag but that's only based off allegations. Anybody can allege somebody of doing something. And plenty of innocent people take the fall along with the guilty. When we don't know the facts...we look to words and actions to help us define or further shape our opinions.

Oh okay.....well if you were also insinuating an OJ type scoff to Bill Clinton not being convicted....part of me was agreeing with you on that lol.
