A good analysis on impeaching Donald Trump?

One of my favourite YouTube vloggers posted this earlier this evening. It's an interesting analysis, although Carl admits he is not an expert on the American political system.

Both sides went about this completely the wrong way.
Trump COULD have been MAGNANIMOUS as simply said "I welcome the challenge of Senator Biden !"

But he didn't !

Trump COULD have gone to ENDLESS official departments within his OWN government, and said "Find me some dirt on this guy !"

But he didn't !

I suspect Impeachment seemed the easiest way of trying to bring the President to account given that all it generally amounts to is an official slap on the wrist in most cases in recent history.

But the Democrats sure have made a meal of it.

@Picklebobble2 What is the point of all this impeachment B/S when we all know it is but a futile gesture as ultimately it will be voted down.

@Nimbus But in doing it this way the Democrats are trying to get Trump to admit to his stupidity in doing it this way.
And even the most hardened Republican must be shaking their head thinking........If only he'd acted differently

@Nimbus Yes you have to question the way they went about it. And what they ultimately hoped to gain from it given that elections are won or lost on an officials behaviour whilst in office.
They could have just let it play out and make use of media saying "Is this what you want from your President ?"
Which would probably have been a better use of time and resources and sentiment.

ENDLESS??? Who? Are you referring to the people in the US DOJ that created the false evidence in obtaining the FISA warrant? Are you referring to State Department staff who are loyal HRC supporters?

In case you missed it, trust in the FBI, the DOJ, the federal government to not set their political bias aside is but a pipe dream.
