How about something reasonable
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Such as?
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 Fixing the problems in Central and South America. Most of the reasons why people come to the U.S. from the Southern border is because of poverty, corruption and violence.
AkAtSUki · F
@SW-User their problems are not our problems. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User So you want an endless war in the a foreign country? Maybe just more US 'interference' in another nation's affairs? Because the US has such a stellar record of running other nations.
SW-User
@AkAtSUki In some ways it is. The laws that the U. S. passes does affect places like Central America greatly whether it’s negative or positive.
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 So where in my response did I say I want an endless war?
AkAtSUki · F
@SW-User but we cannot change what their gov decides to do. They've got a plethora of problems.

Well here is a smart idea that the U.S. can do. Stop being such a huge drug consumer, that’s why the drug cartel is powerful in parts of South America. The next best thing is to make strict gun laws where it’s needed, Mexico is a country where guns laws are strict, but they’re smuggled into the U.S. and used by the drug cartels and other gangs. Create stricter gun laws in the U.S., making it harder to smuggle such weapons and some of the violence might decline in Mexico.
AkAtSUki · F
@SW-User strict gun laws will not solve the problem.
Look at Chicago. They have very strict gun laws and its one of the most violent cities. Guns will be smuggled regardless of gun laws. It is not the guns that's killing ppl its the ppl killing ppl.
SW-User
@AkAtSUki That’s because guns are sought in other states where gun laws are lax and brought into Chicago. It’s the same situation in California. For example it was found that the San Bernardino terrorists got their rifles (which is illegal under California law) in another state.
AkAtSUki · F
@SW-User my point exactly
SW-User
@AkAtSUki I don’t see where I proved your point here. My point is lax gun laws in another state is what caused the San bernardino shooting. If gun laws were strict in states where it’s lax, shootings in Chicago would decline and the San Bernardino attack would have never happened.
