I don't know a single person in my personal circle who wants him impeached. And that includes democrats, republicans, libertarians and otherwise uncommitted.

@CopperCicada That is what I am seeing, people my age who have voted democrat their whole life are not able to stomach where the left wing is going. I am in WV and it has been a democrat stronghold for as long as I have been alive, voters are looking at the non stop obstruction of the president and he is trying to do things most citizens want done. There isn't a town in the country that isn't affected by drugs and human trafficking across the southern border and they want to see it stopped. Taxes are hurting the middle class and they want to see lower taxes and less spending. Most people in the country want to see trade deals, Trump got elected based on what he wanted to do, the will of the public is being defied and nullified by the democrats.
@Roadsterrider I'm not saying that people in my circle necessarily approve of President Trump. That's somewhat split, complex and nuanced. They just pretty uniformly have no interest in seeing a seated president impeached.

@CopperCicada I understand that, personally I don't think we could be beer drinking buddies but the man is doing what he said he would do, it appears to most people I talk to that he is doing a better than average job and looking out for America first and political correctness last. I think he has a popularity across the board that rivals Reagan's. The only place I see anyone really bashing Trump is in places like SW or blogs.

@Roadsterrider This is a political issue. Not a Left or Right issue. Because if it were the problem would be gone by now. And it hasn't. Its still the same ole thing up there in WV.
@Roadsterrider My personal observation is that when people stay away from political media, they are much more unified in their real-life concerns and their frustration and disappointment in their political proxies. When they consume political media they become much more divisive and prone to invective and partisanship. Note that in saying that I'm neither supporting nor criticizing any politician, party or outlook.

@CopperCicada I agree. Social media makes people divided. Too provocative and very influential. Only critical thinkers think outside the box. 🙂
@Zonuss Well. When people get divided it's impossible to have critical and constructive conversations. So social media, where we theoretically have our conversations, is the very worst place to have them. For years I have had bizarrely elliptical conversations in social media. I no longer think it's who I am talking to, but the medium.

@CopperCicada The last one they impeached was Andrew Johnson. The last two they tried were Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. All three involved their private lives after hours. (In today's paper just this morning.)

@MaryJanine Bill Clinton was impeached, Nixon Resigned. There wasn't enough support to remove him from office but he was impeached.

@Roadsterrider Details noted. What I heard about that time (1973) was that if Nixon HADN'T resigned, they were going to try starting impeachment proceedings. Nobody got that far before he resigned.
