What's wrong with this picture is that Trump is still in the White House. He should have been gone a year ago.
They should have impeached him on the emoluments clause violations. That's impeachable.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Democrats will add emoluments to abuse of power and multiple counts of obstruction of justice.
@windinhishair I hope so. I hope the impeachment isn't just about Ukraine. Can't wait till Congress gets the unredacted Mueller Report. There's probably some meaty stuff in that.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays I think they have the unredacted report, but not the underlying testimony under oath. That's what will be useful because they can compare stories and get a pretty good idea of which Trump appointees are lying and which ones they need to talk to. Mueller already said in the report that one of the reasons he couldn't prove collusion (coordination with Russia) is that Trump's sycophants weren't talking and were not forthcoming.
@windinhishair Thanks for the clarification.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Whatever they get will just be more fodder for impeachment. Trump is rotten to the core and leaves a trail of criminal behavior wherever he goes.
@windinhishair But what's amazing is how he eludes the law. And what's really amazing is that he was probably just as sleazy all the years he was in real estate, yet they never got him on anything. Wild!
@windinhishair I really wish they could get his tax returns. There has to be some reason why he is so dedicated to keeping them under wraps. There's something in those returns.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays His sleaze and illegality goes back to the 1970s, when he and his father were convicted of racist behavior in violating the civil rights of black people trying to rent his apartments. But they never followed up on improvements and kept filing other lawsuits and basically waited out the legal process. Same approach as now, except now he can promise pardons and keep people from talking. His entire lifetime has been one long lie.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays The tax returns almost certainly 1) show he has been lying about his wealth, 2) show he pays far less in taxes than his poor supporters do, 3) show that he has multiple foreign conflicts of interest with nations such as Russia and Saudi Arabia that he lied about during the campaign and presidency.
@windinhishair I wish Congress could get the returns before the impeachment vote. But it looks like they won't.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Unlikely. But they already have multiple crimes worthy of impeachment, so that would just be icing on the cake.
@windinhishair Also, if SDNY would indict Giuliani before the impeachment vote, that would be a big public relations boost for Democrats' impeachment effort. It would affect public opinion.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays That's possible. The vote coming up Thursday is for continuing the impeachment inquiry, and will give the committees subpoena power that Trump and AG Barr have been arguing isn't applicable without a full-blown inquiry. The vote will come in a few months, with specific articles of impeachment. It may well include information from a Giuliani indictment.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays He didn't file his taxes correctly, that's why Trump is hiding them.
