Defend this defense:

“Neither [Bill Taylor] or any other witness has provided testimony that the Ukrainians were aware the military aid was being withheld. You can’t have a quid pro quo with no quo.”
Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX), endorsed by Trump.

That sounds like a Louie Gohmert "Pyle" (R-TX) comment. But Gohmert was busy storming the SCIF to prevent more damaging testimony from occurring. They can't deal with the revelations and truth, so they must stop more from coming out at all costs.
Not to mention the fact that Ukraine did know it was being witheld. (Can't get a vote at the moment).

There is no defense...Trump and his administration friends are guilty!

Ah, but they did know. So...quo
The Representative’s statement stands well on its own.

All foreign aid does and should have strings, attached, however. It’s an instrument of national power.

@SeriouslyFlippant Nobody argues that it isn’t. It’s just not supposed to be an instrument of personal power, especially where the mechanisms of democracy are involved.
@QuixoticSoul I agree. Biden doesn’t have two nickels to rub together, so he really doesn’t seem worth the trouble.
