Fox News anchor Shepard Smith leaves network...your thoughts ?

I would like to say that we all have a right to our opinion. We all have a right to support who we desire to do so in politics. But we all have a right to respect the truth. I believe that there is
a change happening in cable news right now. And Fox News is beginning to see the light.
I say Fox News anchors are doing the right thing. This is not a trend. What do you say.

I'm not sure what you're getting at, exactly, but my guess is Fox is still struggling with its identity after the loss of Roger Ailes and how to keep its viewers both during and possibly after the Trump presidency.

My guess is Smith will be replaced with someone like Megyn Kelly (if not her) who will pitch a few real facts without getting as confrontational with the Opinion crew as Smith did.

@MistyCee The more Fox News anchors we see leaving the network the more it will change. It will no longer be the speakerbox for the Republican Party anymore. I believe they will become a more moderate network in the future. 🙂
@Zonuss I don't see Fox abandoning it's viewerbase or the Republican party.

I do think it will will likely want to appeal to more moderate viewers and don't think it's going to drop objective news completely if Trump loses, although if he wins, I think it won't push back on being state tv too hard.

@MistyCee 😂 Not satisfied that CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, The Times, and The Post, as well as most newspapers are left wing? You want all the media to march to the Democrat beat?
@eli1601 What does this have to do with what I said?

Other outfits have their own issues, and I wasn't talking about those issues.

@MistyCee It has to do with your state TV comment. Obviously, we are talking right past each other today.
@eli1601 Ahh. That I really do think I see.

I never saw the State TV thing with Fox as much with Bush, though, nor did there seem to be as much whiplash between News and opinion, for whatever it's worth.

@MistyCee I dunno. I think the big 3 cable networks are gonna team up and do everything in their power to destroy this empire in ways you cannot conceive. Stay tuned. 🙂
@Zonuss Maybe, but their owners are going to need to see some profit in it to go for it and they're going to want to get Fox viewers
