Is it funny that both the left and the right are have been infiltrated by left wing and right wing extremist?

to me it's the exact opposite of what the right wing extremists want/do/think/believe

I would call radical a maoist communist, a nazi, an ancap, but I don't know if the latter one belongs to left or right
