Does Trump believe his own crap ? And .....

..... which would be worse : A president who is an inveterate liar or a president who is delusional ?

We’re looking at 6 on one hand, half-dozen on the other. He’s the entire disastrous package.

@bijouxbroussard What I'm interested in knowing though is does he really believe the conspiracy theory nonsense he regurgitates , or does he know it's bullshit , but because it is politically advantageous then he has no compunction in repeating it ad fucking nauseum ? (I'm talking here about the Ukraine nonsense , and in particular the fantasy that Hillary's e-mails are on a server hidden somewhere in Kiev.)

@RodionRomanovitch I don't think he even thinks about whether the conspiracy theories are true or not. He's not that deep. He says and does whatever he believes is advantageous to him in the moment. To him, it is considered neither true nor false, just beneficial. And since in his mind he is the only one on the planet who matters, even the most outlandish and obviously false actions or statements can be presented.

@windinhishair He's always been a conspiracy theorist though even if it was opportunistic at first. I just wonder now , with the sheer amount of wingnut television that he consumes , has it actually altered his brain ? This might sound flippant but I am in fact deadly serious.

@RodionRomanovitch I know you are. So am I. I really don't think he can distinguish any more between fact and fiction. Fact is what he wants it to be, which means anything that benefits him personally. This is someone who, faced with a choice between doing something that would benefit himself but result in the deaths of 1,000 innocent people, or doing nothing and appearing weak, would always choose the former.

@windinhishair Just imagine how much worse he could become were he to be re-elected. Actually don't , I don't want you to have nightmares.

@RodionRomanovitch I have grave doubts that democracy would survive a re-election. But his supporters would jump up and down in glee as democracy falls apart.
