Nixon only resigned because he was getting impeached following Watergate, Trump has yet to do anything that blatantly stupid

@okkelly2000 He’s done several things. Taking money from a foreign government, staying in an unauthorized war, the newest one is asking a foreign government to find dirt on a political opponent. Not smart. I guess he thought it would not be leaked.

@SW-User And yet despite all of this he hasn't been impeached? Guess it's not as bad as we think it is, or there simply isn't enough evidence to push for it. Either way, if that's the case, then it's hardly worth worrying about
Besides, 'staying in an unauthorized war' is just a more technical way of saying 'cleaning up someone else's mess'

@twofacetoo That’s a false argument. It’s still a bad thing. Staying in an unauthorized war to Clean up someone’s mess? I beg to differ. More of a country who likes to play dictator

@SW-User I'm saying that you're pinning the blame for the war on Trump when it was already going on when he entered the picture, you can't exactly just pack up and walk away in a single day

@twofacetoo Any president who continues these unauthorized wars is at fault. They continue them instead of ending them.
Edit: That’s why I pin the blame on Trump because he decided not the end these wars, he’s doing the same thing the former presidents have done. I would have given him credit if he actually practiced what he preached and ended the wars the U.S. has been in. But he’s not going that route. This would also apply to future presidents.

@twofacetoo He has been impeached now but, as Dan Henninger in the Wall Street Journal called it, it is a "Potemkin Impeachment" (all facade and no substance).
