How Long Will Maguire Last?
Joseph Maguire, acting director of national intelligence, hand picked for the job by Trump, because, you know, the previous guy was weak, was testifying in front of Congress today.
Highlights from his testimony:
He said the whistle-blower “acted in good faith” and that “everything here in this matter is totally unprecedented.”
He said that he would not have accepted the post of acting director of national intelligence if he knew of the case.
How long before Trump starts tweeting that the guy is weak, does not know what he's doing, closeted Democrat, does not love our country, traitor?
How long before Trump's followers start questioning his behavior? It's not like Maguire is mainstream media, or works for CNN. This is unprecedented. I used to be on the fence, as far as impeachment goes, but at this point, there is no other option. Trump thinks he's a King, and we all grew up in what we thought is a Constitutional Democracy.
I guess we can resolve this difference of opinion at the ballot box, but given that RBG's heath may be failing, I support what Speaker Pelosi is doing.
