The censors at Google have deemed a tribute to firefighters on 9/11 to be "too controversial" to monetize. YouTube and Google have consistently failed to clarify or consistently apply the "Controversial issues and sensitive events" section of the "Advertiser-friendly content guidelines," creating a standard that irrationally punishes channels that cover history. If you think this decision is as egregious as I do, and realize how difficult Google makes it to register a complaint, then please feel free to address a complaint to Mr Sundar Patchi, the CEO of Google, at sundar@google.com. Please keep your comments respectful, but let him know your opinion.

It's getting bad on YouTube with the censoring now.😔Something much deeper is happening, our freedom of speech is slowly being stripped away?!

@Peaches Youtube are the worst when it comes to censoring. If they don't like something for any reason, it will either be removed or they will demonitorise it which seems to be coming more common.

@SW-User They never used to, I'd venture to say it's gonna start happening in other places too.

@Peaches Especially as other news sources are dying,ie Newspapers and television is run only for the profit (they actually ran at a loss through the early seventies because they took pride in their news divisions. Plus there are those who don't want you to hear the truth. Let me suggest a rather heavy video, also demonetized
