The censors at Google have deemed a tribute to firefighters on 9/11 to be "too controversial" to monetize. YouTube and Google have consistently failed to clarify or consistently apply the "Controversial issues and sensitive events" section of the "Advertiser-friendly content guidelines," creating a standard that irrationally punishes channels that cover history. If you think this decision is as egregious as I do, and realize how difficult Google makes it to register a complaint, then please feel free to address a complaint to Mr Sundar Patchi, the CEO of Google, at sundar@google.com. Please keep your comments respectful, but let him know your opinion.

I’m trying to imagine how Google could have possibly assessed such horrible sacrifices made on such a tragic day as too controversial to address honestly. 😞

@bijouxbroussard That channel is one of my favorites, relatively short informative history but Google doesn't care one whit,a computer algorithm makes the call. Small channels suffer no matter how good their content

@bijouxbroussard It had to do with the algorithm. I bet he'll get his video back up because most likely it's an error in things being automated.

Youtube has to find ways to combat extremism because morons like 9/11 truthers, flat earthers and others are breeding grounds for recruitment into far right extremist groups.

There was news talking about how groups are actively recruiting and one of them is YouTube.

So YouTube since like 2015 has been actively trying to make those videos a bit harder to find.
