All of this talk is idiocy. The ONLY people gun bans or laws will effect are law abiding citizens that you don't have to worry about in the first place.
Most who are in favor of a ban know nothing about firearms and little about history. Not to mention, more people are beaten to death by hands and feet each year than are killed by AR15s.

I might be an idiot but I just don’t see a purpose for owning one. Unless of course you’re hunting squirrels or rabbits or something like that.

Would further discussions about gun laws be idiotic as well?

@SimplyTracie When Hitler took power, one of the first things he did was create a gun registry, next he confiscated the guns, you know the rest. That is one example. Pol Pot would be another.
An AR15 is used on many things and it is not the super bad DEAR LORD gut exploding OMG killing machine the media makes it out to be. YES it kills but it wounds more than it kills unless you know how to shoot.
In the southeast it is the preferred weapon to hunt wild hogs and coyotes. And it is a good home defense weapon.
There are millions in circulation and if they ban them only criminals will have them. And I promise you that if they TOLD THE TRUTH which is a joke, it shootings would go up as would rural murders and crime.

@SimplyTracie You're missing a point here. They won't stop with the AR15, they will go after all semi automatics then the semi auto handguns, once you give them ONE they will go after all.
The 2nd amendment was written for a reason and it wasn't hunting.

Yes I know the Second Amendment was enacted in the event our government became filled with dumbasses and we needed to form a militia. Correct?

@SimplyTracie Close to correct. The militia would have been any and all able bodied people. That is why it also says "the right of the people to keep and bare arms"

Out of curiosity, why do you not like as opposed to have no feeling, about guns?

@OwnerOfMany It’s because of personal reasons. I know someone close to my family who was shot and killed.
Also I know that people hunt as hobby and I’m kinda against that too. No offense if you like hunting giraffes and elephants or whatever. I’m just against that.
