@Peacefulpanda Hello Panda 🐼
@SimplyTracie you're a good, intelligent, and honorable person. I need you to save the Democratic party.. things aren't looking good.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Peacefulpanda Personally, I think it’s the GOP that needs tweaking. Start by removing their leader.
@SimplyTracie lol that is the funniest shit I've heard in over a year. I guess it's good you see the gop as establishment corrupt trash.. but that you can't see you side of the equation is just epic. thank you so much for the smile tonight!

@Peacefulpanda I look at it this way... if we had a leader worth his salt, he would unite both parties for a common cause. I say this because that’s what Trump boasted about a lot. Remember?
@SimplyTracie you really think any president.. Trump or Obama or god knows who else could unite this country at this point? those days are over.. the die is cast.. the media has picked sides and lost all semblance of impartiality.. there will be no more coming together no matter who gets elected from here on out. it's a true American tragedy unseen since the fist American civil war.

@Peacefulpanda Yes I do. But first, the leader has to behave like a leader in every sense of the word. You do understand the true meaning of the word I assume.

Are you a leader? Do you have what it takes to lead a nation? How about a middle sized company? A small company? A pastor of a little congregation? How about being a parent?
@SimplyTracie well.. Tracie I agree with everything you said.. you are a fairly local person and I've always appreciated that about you. I'm not defending Trump.. never have never will.. but the media can spin anything and they do.. so even if there were a great leader.. nothing would change.. that's my argument. years ago there was a man named Obama.. you remember him right? the liberal media loved him.. he was funny and eloquent.. a statesman.. well spoken and all the rest if it. a veritable dream come true for many on the left.. so why weren't we a united country? maybe you weren't paying attention at the time because you were young.. but there was half the county and the news that half listens too.. which hated him every bit as much as the MSM now hate trump. I watched the entire script flip the day trump got it.. it's like they were the same.. it's just all the hate flipped sides. the MSM would have you believe it is only because trump is a bombastic incompitant A-Hole and it would be like this if it was anybody but trump. but that's a lie.. something changed in this country.. the media.. post the internet.. during Obama's tenure. and things will never go back no matter who wins the next election. the hate is here to stay and we'll never unite again. I'm sorry.

@Peacefulpanda You’re right, I don’t know much about the Obama era and what he has tried to do in respect to uniting the nation. In your opinion, was he a person who wanted to unite America?

Disclaimer: I’m not that naïve to think 100% of the people will agree on 100% of the way any politician does things.

@SimplyTracie I had to Google GOP. My initial guess was right, although I had no idea what the actual acronym meant.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@KiwiBird It must be an America thing. In your investigations, did you learn how that saying came to be?
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@SimplyTracie
The term "Grand Old Party" is a traditional nickname for the Republican Party and the abbreviation "GOP" is a commonly used designation. The term originated in 1875 in the Congressional Record, referring to the party associated with the successful military defense of the Union as "this gallant old party"

Just be aware this camefrom Wikipedia
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@KiwiBird Gotcha. Thank you. I’m glad they don’t use gallant anymore. Gallant sounds too phony in today’s political arena. Can you name a Republican politician that could be considered noble-minded or chivalrous?
