Ever Have that Dream of Being at School Naked? Unfortunately, It Wasn't a Dream for This FLORIDA Boy

A Pensacola boy who was left home alone Wednesday morning walked partially naked from his house to his nearby elementary school before he was found by a deputy.

The boy's mother, Ashley Allen, 32, was arrested Wednesday and charged with child neglect.

An Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputy at CA Weis Elementary School on Wednesday morning spoke with the boy, who found was "wandering in the streets in the area," wearing only a pair of shorts and no shoes or a shirt, according to Allen's arrest report.

A neighbor approached the deputy and said he had noticed the boy wandering down the street and watched him until he entered the school, the report stated.

Sad... but do note the boy is of elementary school age and he showed up wearing just his underpants.

That's got to be embarrassing for him later.

My kids elementary school has a preschool class with kids as young as 3. I think if the boy was old enough to dress himself he probably would have.

Do you think a three-year old would have been able to find his way to his school all by himself?

I suppose it's possible, but...

@beckyromero Probably depends on how close he lived and if there were other kids walking to school at that time for him to follow. If he often walked a short distance to school, yes I do think a 3 or 4 year old could find their way.

Perhaps.

EDIT:

Apparently, the school is K-5.
