Because we're a sovereign country and don't need a reason. If that hurts your feelings that's on you.

@xRedx But you don't believe in workers' rights , so why celebrate Labor Day ?

@RodionRomanovitch because you say so? Man you're sounding really stupid right now. Sorry if it hurts your feelings but people are celebrating Labor Day right now.

@xRedx The question is a valid one. And the fact that you are unable to address it substantively is testament to your stupidity not mine.

@RodionRomanovitch you don't care about getting educated, you just did by mamapolo and disregarded the answer. The fact that your feelings are hurt because Americans are celebrating Labor Day is evident.
@xRedx hurt? it was obviously ironical, nobody's hurt about American celebrations.Do they teach you the whole world is jealous of the USA at school?

@xRedx I can see this is far too sophisticated for you. What I suggest is you go do a little research about the history of the inception of Labor Day in the US , and then you might feel better equipped to come back with something relevant to the conversation.

@EarthlingWise this man sure does make it feel that way. That's your implication, not mine. From what I see here, a bunch of people do bash on the US and it's people for no good reason.

@RodionRomanovitch right, I'm not sophisticated but you're the man well past his middle age and when your questioned gets answered with a citation you still throw a fit with irrelevant topics without citing evidence. Makes sense.

@xRedx I'm looking for analysis , not something that I can easily google myself. You do understand the difference , don't you ?
