You think Macron was playing nice??

It turns out President Macron of France had a little surprise for Donald Trump after swinging the G7 Agenda away from the things Trump wanted to headline.. Who should pop out of the birthday cake but Irans foreign minister? Unannounced, but invited by Macron. I am really warming to this guy. Trump of course threw a hissy fit and refused to meet with him. Guess who looked like the three year old tantrum thrower coming out of that one? And a slap in the face to Trump delivered in such a lovely manner. The French have got style.

Yeah, smooth move, exactly the way to convince Trump to re engage with Iran..

If the European union wants to negotiate some kind of deal without the USA.. this is definitely the way to go about it..

@SW-User I suspect Macron knew exactly what he was doing. Trump has been playing the bully in europe for a couple of years now and this was a deliberate shot to show him he isnt calling any shots.

Trump is a cowardly little wanker at heart, which is truly why he wouldn't engage with Iran's Foreign Minister. That quick move by Macron obviously took Uncle Donny by surprise when Macron shot from the hip and totally 'trumped' Trump's agenda to highjack the G7 again this year. Poor Don, too bad he wasn't a drinker. He needs some liquid courage right about now to get past it.

And I actually don't give a shit that Macron was playing 'dunk the dinky' with his high school sweetheart and Teacher of 24 years his senior when Macron was 16, because we are now here in this present moment, not stuck someplace in the now-irrelevant past of someone's mind who chooses to live back there in that old musty memory of the alleged event that is actually no one's business. @swirlie The LAST thing Trump needs is peace with Iran. He is running out of people to hold up as a threat he can beat. Iran is nice and safe. A long way from home. Isolated in the region and with a not friendly recent history. The perfect Patsy. Macrons stunt had genuine overtones I am sure. But it also threw Iran a lifeline in Europe. Something Trump will not forget in a hurry. Tariffs on french wine next??
